A skill-building training that introduces emotional expression tools and skills to express needs and ask for support. Description: Expressing how a situation makes you feel is one of the most important tools for employees to have and one of the most needed tools for staff. Workplace Expressions provides simple to use emotional expression tools and real-time partner practice sessions that allow staff to expand their ability to express how they feel, what they need, and what support they require to be successful in the workplace. Your staff will walk away with practical experiences and helpful tools to make their next planning meeting, engagement with colleagues, or conversation more expressive. Issues Addressed: • Struggling to encourage employees to express more clear and complex emotions that represent how they are feeling • Difficulty encouraging staff to express their needs from you or one another • Challenges with staff not being able to effectively communicate the support they need from others Learning Outcomes: Emotion Wheel • Provide staff with an emotional expression tool that helps them develop their ability to articulate their feelings more accurately and effectively Expressing Needs • Develop the conversation skills needed to express what you need from your colleagues in regard to work related and interpersonal needs
